NGO Infertility Treatment support centre is conducting a survey on the impact of infertility treatment and alternative methods of stress release that people have used and found helpful. The aim is to prepare guidelines for infertility patients to help them cope with the stress associated with treatment. Your answers will be anonymous.
Infertility is a common medical condition that can affect up to 15% of couples. Consequently, there could be some 20,000 infertile couples in Estonia right now. Inability to conceive or carry a pregnancy to term is psychologically very difficult for both women and men, and they need assistance and support. Support is required to enable them to cope with their feelings and loss, to find strength to continue the attempts to conceive, or to carry on without children.
MTÜ Viljatusravi tugikeskus (NGO Infertility Treatment support centre) was established in 2013 to help families that have fertility problems, to provide counselling, and to raise general awareness about infertility in society.
Our activities have been financed from state budget allocations. We have also received support from several institutions, such as Pelgulinna Maternity Hospital, Tartu University Hospital, Competence Centre on Health Technologies, that have enabled us to organise events on their premises and have otherwise contributed to our activities.
